because everything on the internet is true. Over at this wondermark post which is supposedly all verified, there is a great collection of collective nouns for things. Yes, you may have known that a bunch of angels is called "a host of angels" from singing hark, the herald angels sing but did you know that a bunch of medusas (medusae?) make up a tangle of gorgons? I also like "a mystery of spooks." Here's some, but click the image to view more.
Now I just need to find opportunities to make use of these.
You can just scroll for pages and pages on the original source site (one NSFW word). I found this over on the Consumerist where they wrote "If you're going to make a logo for some kind of lady group, you have four leitmotifs to choose from: squiggle, tree, ribbon or spiral."
I tend to have a lot of people show up late for their appointments. For example, I had one person who I scheduled for 9:00 (I had sent him email reminders of this twice). When he didn't show up by 10:00, I called him and he said he would be there in an hour (a grand total of 2 hrs late!). I said that wouldn't work because I had another appointment at noon and he would run into that if he came it at 11:00. I scheduled him for 1:00 and made sure he knew everything he needed to bring with him.
He then arrived at 11:00 regardless and without everything that he was supposed to have with him.
I had another person the other day who said they were going to leave right away to come directly over from where they were. It was 4:00 and they said they would be there "no later than 4:30". I had given up on them when they showed up at 4:50.
Arkham Horror is one of my favorite games [as you may know]. This is what players' characters look like: cardboard guys on plastic stands.
Well now the folks over at Fantasy Flight Games are offering to let you replace your investigators with little miniatures like these. How much? 4 bucks per guy. People at GenCon were buying complete sets of all of the investigators. Arkham Horror has 48 investigators which means they sank $192 into little guys that don't add any new content to the game other than giving you something cool to look at. The base game is only $40 on Amazon. You could buy 4 friends a copy of the game and buy them dinner instead.
I tell you, give people the opportunity to show how much they love something by buying it all over again and people will do it.

I like reading the comic, Lio, every day. But as much as I love that, I also love reading the comments that people leave on them. See, gocomics allows people to leave comments on individual strips and there are people that feel the need to comment every day. It's like reading Marmaduke Explained every day.
It's always stuff like this or "Uh oh! Looks like Lio got himself into some trouble!" Why someone would go through the work to restate a comic every single day, i'm not sure, but I enjoy reading it
