Firefly guest starring Windows 95 and Christina Hendricks Saturday, March 31, 2012 | comments

So in s1e11 of Firefly, right when Jayne and Kaylee are reprogramming the dumpster, I noticed something on the computer screen. Apparently the dumpster is running windows 95 and is using the CD burning wizard.

Also since my Zac Efron in Firefly post gets me so many hits, I will also point out that this is Christina Hendricks of Mad Men fame, which I would not have realized unless the opening credits didn't spell it out for me. Also guest starring some guy who played Duck on 20 episodes of days of our lives and starring a bunch of people who are in a lot of other Joss Whedon things.

It's the future, you guys. When are they going to start preorders for the Mattel Hoverboard? | comments

The Consumerist reports "Google's Helpful Self-Driving Car Brings Blind Passenger To Taco Bell"
While testing the company's new self-driving vehicle, Google had the Toyota Prius navigate city streets to take its blind "driver" to Taco Bell, as seen in a video of the test. [...] Along with grabbing some grub, the man also went to pick up some dry cleaning. Just a nice little day running a few errands -- something that he said isn't always so easy to do.

I don't know why he didn't just hit the Taco Button on his fridge though.

Now there's this company that has a button you can put on your fridge. When you press the button, it automatically orders you your favorite pizza (by connecting via bluetooth to your phone and dialing programmed response to the pizza store)
