AGPTEK MP3 Player not connecting to computer Sunday, August 18, 2024 | comments

I'm putting this out there in case anyone else has the same problem I did. My kid has this mp3 player which is listed as "MP3 Player with Bluetooth 5.3, AGPTEK A19X 2.4" Curved Screen Portable Music Player with Speaker Lossless Sound with FM Radio, Voice Recorder, Built in 32GB, Supports up to 128GB, Blue"

It had connected to my computer before but suddenly wouldn't connect anymore. I could see it charging but it wouldn't show up on my computer to browse. I'm on Windows 11. I tried it on a Windows 7 computer and it also couldn't see it. Oddly enough, the solution was to use a different USB cable. Once I used a different USB cable, when I would plug it in, then it would give me the option on the mp3 player screen to connect to transfer and everything worked as it had before.

Perhaps this will help someone else.
