Call of Cthulhu and its skills

My copy of Call of Cthulhu just came in the mail today. CoC is a horror pen and paper RPG based on the short story by H.P. Lovecraft. They've got rules for playing it in a modern setting, which seems the most interesting. I've only paged through the book, but one thing that stands out to me is the different skills a character can have. Sure, it has the kind of skills you'd expect (Spot, Sneak, Driving, Handgun, First Aid, Locksmith, Electronics, etc) but here a few of the select stranger ones:

Credit Rating
Library Use
Photography
Physics

"I'm going to take out a loan and buy a new car"
"Save vs. credit rating!!!"

Credit Rating: Vampires just stole your girlfriend and you approach your neighbor to borrow his car to give chase... is he going to slam the door in your face or toss you the keys?

Library Use: Amazingly many people can't find anything in a library save for possible porn on the free Internet and some work by their favorite author.. could you find that 1910 article on page 3 of the paper that describes the man you're investigating?

Photography: Is it a photo of a deepone rising from the depths.. or your thumb again.. look at all those blurry UFO photos and tell me if photography's not a valid skill.

Physics: You're going to be dealing with a lot of bizarre alien crap.. physics can come in handy.. or be a curse if you're the only one in the room that realizes that the machine you're looking at violates all known natural laws... top
