Yesterday's Ann Arbor News has an article about people that carry guns openly in public which is allowed because "the city attorney's office ruled that it is legal to have a weapon in a holster in the open." As the article shows, it seems that you would run into a lot of problems with people not wanting you around if you walk around with a gun on your hip. Definitely worth a read.
