Here at my job, the residents have the same physical lease their entire time here. So some people that have been here for 10+ years have a lease that looks like it was written on a typewriter. If a new occupant gets added or moves out, you just amend the lease. This usually involves crossing out old names and initialing and dating them.
On Thursday, a girl came in to be added on a guy's lease who she was moving in with. I had to put her name right under the crossed out name of the previous girl that had lived with him.
